5 River Youth

The 5 rivers youth is excited to launch our new venture! 5.R.Y. is a Sikh youth group inspired by Sikh ideals, dedicated to community development, youth empowerment and social justice.

We aim to bring together the Sikh and Punjabi youth at the University of Alberta and the community at large. Our goal is to create a positive environment where youth can get involved and develop into leaders and ambassadors of our community. We believe that as a community we can work together to create a new culture that fosters positivity and growth for ourselves and future generations by creating a safe space to have discussions about the issues affecting Punjab and the Sikh diaspora.
